Fire Department Program

Our Fire Department Air Sampling Program explained.

  • Our Fire Department Air Sampling Kit is capable of sampling high pressure SCBA and  SCUBA charging systems. The kit is compact, lightweight and rugged. It contains no tiny inlet orifices which can remove the very debris you need to discover.
  • Our sub-micron depth filter is in a transparent rugged housing to allow instant examination. If you have an oil mist + particulate problem you will be able to recognize it and begin repairs immediately.
  • The bulk sample of your air is obtained in our compact lightweight container. It is fail-safe and meets DOT as well as IATA regulations for shipping on all passenger and freight aircraft.  (See also (Shipping and Safety.)
  • Although operation of the kit is obvious from the design, we include simple instructions that are color coded and by-the-numbers.
  • Shipping is included for all domestic shipments (Fed Ex, UPS and Priority US Mail).  Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico might require a small shipping charge.
  • We get many requests to purchase kits for on-site testing; you are now able to purchase them.  (See also our Instant Air Analysis kit.)
  • Dew Point analyses to 24ppm (-65ºF) are performed with a Drager Tube devise that is built into the sampling kit. Currently the only test better than that is if you own a dew point meter.

The Analysis and Report

Our reports are complete and easy to read. Example for NFPA is below. If your organization fills SCUBA as well as SCBA tanks the newer NFPA requirements meet or exceed the CGA-E diving specification, thereby satisfying both needs at no additional cost. Air analysis is not just another task; it is done for important reasons. Saving a few dollars is not worth the gamble. If you use a kit that is unlikely to find all the contaminants you’re playing with fire. Contact us ! © 2010 Analytical Chemists, Inc.
